Paul's act encompasses a range of observations about being Indian, offering both outsider-looking-in and insider-looking-out commentary, while also exploring a variety of topics and issues beyond that realm. He was named by the Dallas Observer in 2007 as the "Best Stand-up Comic in Dallas" and then won the Funniest Comic in Texas, Laughing Skull, and Trial By Laughter competitions.
