Chris Fonseca, a comedian with Cerebral Palsy, will headline a benefit show at the Houston Improv on Thursday June 13.
The benefit will raise money for the annual Women's with Disabilities Empowerment Fair, held in Houston in the fall.
Fonseca, 49, has been on a comeback of sorts, recently 9 months sober and releasing his 5th CD, “Before and Laughter†in March.
In his three decades of performing he has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, HBO and Showtime among others.
Last year he was an ambassador for World United Cerebral Palsy Day.
He frequently tours with Pablo Francisco.
Caroline “The Cajun Queen†Picard will be the feature act.
Picard is a favorite on the comedy club circuit, as well as on tours entertaining U.S. Troops abroad.
Her CD was recorded in Houston a few years ago.
Rounding out the show will be Houston's own Mario Saenz and Theo Taylor.
