A choreographed by Hung-chung Lai, BIRDY explores the interplay of freedom and limitations within Taiwan’s communities through societal dynamics and personal narratives. Lai uses symbolism and the deconstruction of traditional Chinese opera props to examine both Western mythologies and Eastern traditions.
